Southern Joint Replacement Institute physicians and staff attended the 2018 American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons meeting the week of March 5-9 in New Orleans. The AAOS is the leading provider of musculoskeletal education to orthopaedic surgeons and other health professionals.
The SJRI physicians observed a wide variety of presentations regarding new techniques in orthopedics and gained insight into valuable research being done in the field. They heard from thought leaders regarding data registries, patient outcomes, and information on the current opioid crisis. While in attendance, they were also able to explore hundreds of vendor booths and learn about some of the newest products and strategies for joint replacement.
SJRI surgeons are committed to keeping up with advancements in joint pain treatments and many are utilizing some of the latest technology to treat those debilitating issues.
